This is Svet & Liam’s bathroom in Summer Hill
This one’s close to our hearts
This bathroom renovation was done during peak Covid, in Svet & Liam’s retro Summer Hill townhouse, and was a lot of fun at a rather gloomy time.
“Covid took away a lot of human-to-human interaction. Tommico brought back that warmth and comradery when we needed it most.”

The delight’s in the details
Svet & Liam had a thoroughly retro but modern style, and it showed in their design choices. We all had a blast piecing this bathroom together – from the fun 60’s curves in the tap fittings, mirrors and shelving, to two inset nooks and swish patterned tiles.
“Steve & Lisa gave us just enough options to choose from. Not so many that it was overwhelming. But not too few that we felt they hadn’t dug deep enough.”
— Svet & Liam
The curveball
Every project has one. For Svet & Liam’s, it was the bathroom window which dictated much of the design. A solution was struck by off-centring the basin, making it pleasing to the eye and gentle on big plumbing reworks.
Now it sparks joy
There’s a lot of memories wrapped up in these few cubic metres – like when Svet, Liam, and their friend who built the vanity (Peach Furniture) all came round on a Friday night once we’d installed it, and we shared socially-distant pizza and beers.
“The end product is a bathroom that brings us joy, even if we’re just ducking in to wash our hands.”
— Svet & Liam
